Though you may decide to pursue aquascaping to improve the appearance and health of your lake or pond, state and county governmental agencies often mandate the use of aquatic plants for environmental reasons; this particular use is referred to as mitigation. Aquatic plants bring numerous benefits: they stabilize the soil, absorb nutrients, and provide cover and food for both fish and wildlife. Our aquatic plant permit allows us to transplant and nurture a variety of species including pickerelweed, arrowhead, cypress, water lily, chara, rushes and others. We will be happy to design, develop and implement an aquascape or mitigation program that meets your needs.
